BFF Inaugurates New Multi-Community Bike Route

Bicycle Friendly Farmington’s¬†inauguration of the new Batterson Park Loop on May 25, 2014 was very successful! More than 20 riders from New Britain and Farmington turned out to cut the ribbon on the new loop and then take a first ride on the 3.5 mile route.

Connecticut State Senator Terry Gerratana and State Representative Mike Demicco were on hand as well to add their accolades for the success of this joint initiative of the towns of New Britain and Farmington to create new biking routes in our communities. Bicycle Friendly Farmington was proud to sponsor this first ride, and were joined by representatives of Bike/Walk Simsbury, Simsbury Free Bike, and Bike New Britain.
