Wednesday Night Social Rides

Bicycle Friendly Farmington hosts a weekly Wednesday Night Social Bike Ride during the summer of 2019.

Designed to be family- and beginner-friendly, our Wednesday night rides introduce new riders to the wonderful system of trails that serve our town of Farmington, CT. Riders of all ages and skill levels are welcome to join us.

The rides will meet at the large rail trail parking lot on RT 4 west of Unionville  (across the street from the mini-golf on River Rd) Each ride will be approximately 12-18 miles out-and-back on the Farmington River Trail and/or the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail, with no road riding involved. Our bike ride leaders will brief the group on safe bicycling and proper equipment prior to each trip. Routes may be expected to change to provide variety and based on the skill level of each group.

Riders will meet at 6:15 pm and begin riding at 6:30 pm. The rides will take approximately 90 minutes to 2 hours, and will return to the starting point in Unionville where riders are encouraged to unwind as a group with frozen yogurt, ice cream, smoothie or other treats! Add the ride to your calendar and get fit, make friends, and explore our town!
