Free Bike Rodeo for Kids, May 14, 2016

BattersonParkLoop_2014-05-25cBicycle Friendly Farmington is holding a free bicyle rodeo for kids ages 8 to 12 on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Winding Trails in Farmington. The rodeo is being held in conjunction with the Adorno Memorial Ride and Festival co-sponsored by BFF.

A bicycle rodeo is a fun way to learn the skills required to safely ride a bicycle. At this event, BFF’s team of certified cycling instructors will conduct equipment and helmet checks and teach proper techniques for riding, stopping, and steering.

Once skills have been taught, kids will test them out on series of short and fun courses in a protected area. Prizes and awards will provided. The Bike Rodeo is designed for kids 8 to 12 years of age.

All participants must have a helmet and a proper-sized bicycle. Check-in is between 12 noon and 1 pm, and the event ends at 3 pm. Register for free at www.AdornoRide.org; same-day registrations may be available as well but we ask that you pre-register.

We look forward to seeing many families at this fun and educational event!
